Sopranos Out on a HIgh Note?

At first, I -- like one out of five TV viewers and Jay Leno -- thought my cable went out. But no, that was really it. Badda bing. Over.

I did not like it. Not at all.

But after I thought about the first family of crime for a while today, I realized that it is because of David Chase's choice of endings that I can think about them -- how they would go on, how ordinary their lives were in some ways, how extraordinary in other ways. They are still out there in the ether. Thank you, David, for not whacking them. Fade to black.

You would think that after all these years on TV, the Today Show would know how to time a segment. Why, then, do they always have to rush through the lifestyle segments -- cooking, fashion, whatever? Hello producers: You just can't do justice to 12 types of lipstick in only 1 minute.
